We are going to analyze the contents of the "1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die" book, by Tony Mott. There's a lot of good reviews and plenty of great games and information. But for some reason, I kept getting very frustrated with the reviews. I almost felt compelled to write about them to add some perspective and my own thoughts and correct some of the more wild statements in the book.
Some factual obection, some obvious opinion... but on this page I'll collect the articles that I write about the subject matter. I'd also like to post a gameplay link for each game in question, as videogames are such a visual medium they almost require video to do them justice. The book itself doesn't even have a screenshot for each one... let alone a video representation.
Still, it's a good read. I'd buy the book and then circle back here after you read each review for additional information, commentary, thoughts and references. And if you're reading this blog... thanks! Hope you find it entertaining, thoughtful, and of course... fun.
